Glenn McGrath is in his 40th year. He is a man raising two children and, with a little help from his friends, running a major charity organisation founded by his wife, Jane, who passed away last year after a long battle with cancer. Clearly, McGrath is a man with much on his plate and more on his mind. And yet, in the coming weeks, he will add to his many commitments by pushing his frame through five weeks of gruelling. cricinfo.com

IPL 2 ( Season 2 ) Ticket Booking from April 18

The Indian Premier League has announced the sale of online tickets for the second season in South Africa starting April 18.

The tickets for the double-header in Cape Town on April 18 are priced between R 50 for students to R 200/150 for the grand stands and are inclusive of the opening ceremony. Kingsmead in Durban hosts 16 games, the most for a single venue, and the tickets are priced between R 25 for students to R 150 for the grand stands.

The organisers have focused on making the tickets affordable, in order to attract youngsters to the event. The tournament had to be moved out of India due to the general elections in the country.

The prices are relatively cheaper in the smaller venues like East London, Port Elizabeth, Kimberley and Bloemfontein, ranging between R 10 and R 75.

"We had promised our fans in the Rainbow Nation of a non-stop cricket carnival and the attractive ticket pricing," Lalit Modi, the IPL commissioner, said. "I think should be a huge impetus for fans to come and see some of the best cricketing talent in the world, display their prowess on the field." Fans can avail tickets at the official website www.computicket.com.

IPL 2009 To Be Hosted In England

Lalit Modi, the IPL commissioner, who was present at the working committee meeting said there will be no changes made to the tournament's format or the schedule. "Dates and timings of the matches will remain the same. The Indian audiences can watch the matches at 4 pm and 8 pm IST as they did in the inaugural season," he said.

He assured that that the IPL would not cut any corners despite hosting the event outside the country. However, he refused to dwell on the revenue sharing agreement with the prospective foreign boards and pointed out that the tournament's focus was to provide the best possible entertainment for the Indian fan.
